Optimizing Operations and Technology for Bike Startup Success 


Vello, as a startup, initially used a cloud ERP system called TradeGecko. This system was limited, only synchronizing with Shopify and managing inventory centrally. A significant challenge was simultaneously handling B2B and B2C businesses, especially since B2B operations had specific requirements not aligned with B2C activities. Issues like dealer price management, a B2B platform, and separating inventory posed substantial challenges.

Within three months, we transitioned to a new system, launching Odoo on January 1, 2020. From then on, Vello managed three distinct sales channels in one integrated system: POS, B2C, and B2B. This integration facilitated sales channel-specific invoicing and taxation, streamlining the accounting processes. B2B customers now use a dedicated platform, enabling online purchases at dealer prices, shipment tracking, and access to past invoices. Additionally, during industry-specific pre-order phases, dealers can select future timeslots for pre-orders for the upcoming year.

Moreover, Vello began utilizing Odoo's serial number function and manufacturing app, maintaining bill of materials and tracking material consumption based on the manufactured finished goods. Odoo aids in timely replenishment by triggering purchase orders for products and manufacturing orders for made-to-stock items, thus preventing stockouts by considering lead times and safety stocks. Furthermore, Vello employs the helpdesk app for customer service inquiries management, integrating all departments from purchasing to after-sales in one system to enhance company efficiency.

Making Multi-Channel Sales Simple 


Carromco is a brand manufacturer specializing in leisure and sports games for home and outdoor use. Founded in 1986 in Hamburg, the company designs and sells a wide range of recreational products, including table games, electronic dartboards, and outdoor sports equipment. Their business involves sourcing products internationally, managing stock levels, and selling through several sales channels.

Veeject supports Carromco across key areas of the business, including purchasing, inventory management, sales, accounting, and reporting. We also helped migrate their website to Odoo and built a new eCommerce store.


To expand their reach, we connected Odoo directly with marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. This setup keeps orders and inventory synchronized across all sales channels automatically, reducing manual work and avoiding stock errors. We also integrated their shipping provider so delivery labels are created automatically during order processing, which speeds up picking and fulfillment in the warehouse.


Digital Processes for a Modern Coffee Roastery


Unbound is a specialty coffee roaster that sources high-quality green coffee beans, roasts them in-house, and sells them as packaged coffee products. The company serves both private customers and businesses through its online shop, subscriptions, and wholesale distribution. In addition, unbound operates a local coffee shop and provides coffee catering and gastronomy services for B2B events, offering freshly prepared coffee and equipment on-site.


Veeject supports unbound by bringing their core operations together in Odoo. Using the Odoo Manufacturing app, unbound manages the full process of turning raw coffee beans into packaged products with clear visibility over production and stock levels. Their Shopify-based eCommerce store is fully integrated with Odoo, ensuring that orders and fulfillment status are synchronized automatically. Through the Sendcloud integration, shipping labels from multiple carriers can be created directly within Odoo.


Odoo also supports several parts of unbound’s business model. The Subscription app manages recurring coffee deliveries, the Rental app tracks coffee machine and equipment rentals for B2B customers, and the POS module handles sales in their local coffee shop. All financial transactions across these channels are managed in Odoo Accounting, keeping invoices and financial records up to date and simplifying reporting for their tax advisor and authorities. With this setup, Unbound runs its daily operations in a single, structured system.
